Count of the value in the column

Hi,

I would like to ask you for help. I don´t work with PowerBI so often, so I am sorry for the stupid question.

I have Table, where is a column, let's call it "Countries". There are a lot of countries in the column and I need to create a new measure, which counts me number of the values called "Germany." It should be working also with the filters as the date is (when I need to know how often the value is appearing in the month, etc...). Could you please help me with the DAX formula? I am still not successful. 😞

@daniw - Should be something like:

Measure = COUNTROWS(FILTER('Countries',[Country] = "Germany"))

Otherwise, Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.
