Calculate top N from a previous COUNT measure.

I want to calculate a measure that calculates the top N of a previously created COUNT measure.

In the COUTN measure I have stored the number of times a category appears in my data, and on that COUNT measure I would like to get the top N of the values.

I need this measure in order to filter by dates and be able to see which categories have been the most important according to which period I select.

I have tried RANK and TOPN functions but I can't figure it out.

Thanks!

@Anonymous , While I need some data to check.

But try like

CALCULATE([count],TOPN(3,allselected(Table[category]),[count],DESC),VALUES(Table[category]))

Can you share sample data and sample output in table format? Or a sample pbix after removing sensitive data.

Thank you so much for your help, it worked perfectly!

The measure I was using was the following :

Top 3 =
CALCULATE([count],
TOPN(6, Table, [count], DESC),
))

Why do we need to use the conditions 'allselected' and 'VALUES(Table[category]' ? Can't understand this very clearly.
