Calculate the running total


Hi Guys,

Please help me on this. looks the running total is not working using the DAX code. THanks

Hi,

I recommend reading this article by sqlbi: Computing running totals in DAX - SQLBI

In your case the dax would be something like this:


Accountid RT =
VAR MaxDate = MAX ( 'Date'[Date] ) -- Saves the last visible date. Add Calendar table to you model if you don't have one
RETURN
    CALCULATE (
        DISTINCTCOUNT('Merge2'[Accountid]),           -- Count accountid
        'Date'[Date] <= MaxDate,  -- Where date is before the last visible date
        ALL ( Date )              -- Removes any other filters from Date
    )
