I've been looking for a tutorial on Allocating Budget for Dimensions of Different Granularities Based on Dimensions not Dates. Every tutorial uses Dates to exemplify Budget allocation. This context has a project budget. Each project gets Invoices so at a higher granularity. Has anyone seen or knows how to do a budget allocation when you want to allocate a project budget at a lower granularity to a higher granularity like Invoice Header level?
Hi there.
Would this help? https://www.daxpatterns.com/budget-patterns/
Also, a model that's based on the usual InvoiceHeaders <- InvoiceLines is NOT CORRECT. Please try to read about the correct model design in such a case. You might find articles about it on www.sqlbi.com.
