I have a source data with monthly sale value for different categories of products, in my pbi report i show all values filtered by year, i want to create a column that is the average of sales value, the start month and end month should be a user input.
the data looks something like this:
Product Category. Jan Feb Mar..........Dec
A. 2. 34. 5. 3
B. 36. 51. 4. 21
.
.
.
P. 22. 39. 41. 10
that should be possible with the standard visuals, no coding required. What have you tried and where are you stuck?
the standard visuals gives me the average of all months, what i want is the user should be able to get the average of the desired months, that start and end should be a user input maybe a slicer, and i should get the average of that, eg, user input is start month- Aug, end month- Nov and the output shour be average of Aug sept oct and nov sales.

the outcome i am looking for is that in the pbi report view there should me a slicer to add the start month and another for end month and the measure should calculate average sales for that range of months
