1 cell calculated table that filters and slices?

I have a 1 cell (1 row 1 column) calculated table, it is not related to any other tables. I want this 1 cell table to show a value, such as total sales amount. I want this 1 cell table to be filterable by any other table/field (ALLSELECTED facilitates this). I also want this 1 cell table to be slice-able by other fields in a table/matrix visual such as geography, date (ALLSELECTED does not facilitate this).

Any ideas how I can accomplish this? What I really need is slightly different, but solving this problem will solve my problem too.

The simple answer is: you can't do what you want. Calculated tables are calculated when data is loaded and are since then static.

What you really nee is a measure as they are dynamic and react to filters.

Can you please show what all have you tried so far? If this one row & column table isn't related to any other table how do you wish to accomplish the filtering from other tables? can you please show what your data and data model look like?
