Support for AD authentication in custom visuals

We have already raised this with the respective team @ MS for months and have been told this is "on the horizon". So, this post only to show we are not the only ones needing this: we urgently require support for AD authentication in custom visuals. Microsoft is already including it in their own visuals (PowerApps visual) so it shouldn't be too hard to also offer it with 3rd party custom visuals.

Any update on this? Our customers have massive problems as the only way we can realize auth is via very cumbersome workarounds. Technically it shouldn't be a problem as other cutom visuals like Powerapps can do it. Why is this still not enabled generically?

Hello.

What is the status about that? I see that there are tests in "Test Util" and the "VisualHost" for this.  Is this already ready and do we have any tutorial for that?

Thanks.

Any updates?
It seems that there are a service in Visual API for this use case called authenticationService, but there are almost no documentation except: "authenticationService, generates a service to help with user authentication"
