Making Visual Charts Disappear

I have a question and was wondering if someone could please provide me some assistance.  I've created 5 visual charts (Pie, Bar, Donut and Multi Row Card).  I also have created a splash screen that appears when there is no data returned for the date range I've selected.  However when the splash screen appears, instead of having a clean background, I'm still left with the splash screen and all the chart titles and chart formats.  I'm wondering how to get all the visual charts to vanish completely when there is no data returned so that the splash screen is the only item being displayed on a clean display?  I would greatly appreciate any assistance anyone could provide me.
