Gantt Chart Alternatives

Hey folks,

Quite honestly, I'm suprised the Microsoft PM team haven't prioritized a Gantt Chart visual to be available to developers. I'm not too crazy about the 2-4 most commonly used gantt chart visuals that you have to import. You don't have full control of customization, there's some bugs here and there, and quite honestly, some of them are just clunky.

What is your experiecne with Gantt Charts in Power BI? How do you use them, are they useful to you? Have you ever tried creating a gantt chart in a Matrix? Would appreciate anyone's insight.

I preference the Microsoft Gantt visual over others as it looks cleaner and is simpler to use, but I often find myself creating Gantt Charts with the matrix visual as I need more hierarchy levels and control over date horizons. Even though I think a matrix gantt looks clunky and unprofessional, my customers surprise me and often choose the hack over other visual options. They always seem pleased with it. *shrug*.
