Does App monitor work for BI embedded canvas app??

Hi all!
Does anyone know whether App monitor can work for an embedded canvas app? From MS doc, the app monitor is for standalone powerapps, but does not mention the embedded ones ( for example, BI report embedded power app). Any ideas or experiences are appreciated! https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/monitor-canvasapps
