Hi all,
@lbendlin
@dm-p
@Marc_Ponick
I recently completed an analysis task for virgin atlantic which includes dashboard development. Some of the feedback I got was that
a) I built a very basic dashboard.
b)I created only basic calculated measures.
The questions they wanted the dashboard to answer is as follows:
1. How does the load factor vary by the weekday of departure for each cabin?
2.What is the lead time profile (in days) between booking date and travel date,and how is it different for Upper class customers compared to Economy and Premuim customers?
3. Whats the difference in average revenue between TMC and Direct channel ? Does this vary by any other factor?
Can anyone help with suggestions on how I could have improved my visuals based on the above and which measures I should have added?.
I would really appreciate this so i dont make the same mistakes next time.

Thank you in advance,

Your main task is to facilitate insights. Business users are rarely able to formulate what they actually need. This is always an iterative process, and You got great feedback and can now produce the next iteration.
Basic is GOOD ! As long as it instigates discussions.
my go-to is always the "ribbon-less ribbon chart" as it allows to sort the columns by value. Here's an example
I would challenge the "day of the week" impact, I think there are different seasonalities at play. The above chart can initiate the discussions for these.
