This is my submission for the Week 2 World Champs contest.
Thank you so much for this challenge! I had a great time building this and learned a lot about the nuances of climate data.
My Approach: I chose to focus on a clean, narrative-driven experience. I evaluated the provided data model and found that its structure perfectly supported the direct, page-by-page story I wanted to tell, so I kept the model simple to prioritize clear visualization and user flow. While I explored layering the datasets, I ultimately decided that giving each metric (Warming, Emissions, and Sea Level) its own dedicated space allowed the data to speak more powerfully on its own.
Process & Tools: I leveraged AI as a creative partner during the ideation phase. It helped me explore different ways to visualize trends, which led me to use the 'Warming Stripes' concept—a visual I feel perfectly captures the accelerating nature of global temperature changes.
I found the data and the story incredibly impactful, and I’m proud of the final 'Rising Tide' report. Looking forward to everyone’s feedback!
