7 days agoUntil a native calendar-style range picker exists, these are the closest options available today. They are drawn from standard report features rather than tested against any particular report.
- Between slicer on a date column: the two boxes open a calendar picker, which gives start and end selection with no extra modeling.
- Relative date slicer or relative date filter for rolling ranges such as the last 30 days.
- Preset buttons driven by a small disconnected table, for one-click ranges like Last 7 days or Quarter to date.
Range Start =
VAR _p = SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Presets'[Preset], "Last 30 days" )
VAR _max = MAX ( 'Date'[Date] )
RETURN
SWITCH (
_p,
"Last 7 days", _max - 6,
"Last 30 days", _max - 29,
"Quarter to date", STARTOFQUARTER ( 'Date'[Date] ),
_max - 29
)
In Range =
VAR _start = [Range Start]
VAR _end = MAX ( 'Date'[Date] )
RETURN
IF ( MAX ( 'Date'[Date] ) >= _start && MAX ( 'Date'[Date] ) <= _end, 1, 0 )The presets measure then goes in a visual-level filter (In Range = 1), so the buttons and a Between slicer can coexist. Custom visuals from AppSource are another route if your organization allows them.
So my overall approach would be:
Calendar picking -> Between slicer
Rolling windows -> Relative date slicer
One-click presets -> disconnected Presets table + In Range filter measureAI-assisted drafting: AI was used to help structure and phrase this response. I reviewed and validated the technical content before posting.
