Error with Paginated report rendering: DM_GWPipeline_Client_MaxPacketLimitReached

Hi Team,

Need help with the power bi paginated report. We have our data model hosted in power bi service and all the tables in the data model is in Direct Query mode, sourcing data from Azure Synapse Database. This data model is used in developing the paginated reports. 

we have couple of paginated reports and having parameters , report rendering is quite successful till the report data count is less than 350000 and if report data count is exceeding the count >350000 or in some report >500000 then we are getting the below error and report rendering is failed.

 

I have gone through the articles posted in the community related to this error and nothing helped. I got some sense that this error is may be because of gateway. Can someone guide me in the right direction to find the root cause of this error whether this needs to be investigated in Databse/Gateway/Report DAX query end ? 

 

Any expert opinion or help will be appreciated here ! Thanks.

    Hi, Anonymous 

    Judging from the error message, it seems to be a problem with the data source. Can you make sure that the data source is running normally and that your credentials are correct ?

    Thanks for the prompt response. 

     

    Yes Data source is working fine and credentials are correct. Other reports are using the same data source and no issue over there. I believe if this is the case of issue with data source then report will not be able to give output even for 1 record. Here I am getting the report data but only fails when record count limit exceed >300000 or 500000.
