Deleting column in designer, then removing from SQL view causes error.
I deleted a column in the report designer from a table.
I open up the source SQL view, and removed the column.
Now, when I go to refresh the report, I get an error about the column no longer existing and the report fails to load.

Status changed:NewtoDoneHi dscott73 ,
From the official document can see:
Data refresh on the Power BI service will fail when the source column or table is renamed or removed. It fails because the Power BI service doesn't also include a schema refresh. To correct this error, a schema refresh needs to happen in Power BI Desktop and the dataset republished to the service.
If you remove a column in the data source, you should do a schema refresh(Home ribbon > Refresh) in Desktop. Additionally, if any applied steps refer to the removed column in PowerQuery, it will cause some error, you should also modify M query in the first error step. After all is ready, republish to service.

Resolver I
This was in the desktop, not the service.
When the column is removed from the report view, and then from the underlying SQL view. There is no way to refresh the meta data the report needs.
When I go into Power Query, and do a refresh there, I get an error because it seems to also execute/check any measures or logic the column might have been used in for the report. Because those references are never updated, you're just stuck.
I found I had to open the report. open Power Query, remove the column. Click Apply, and refresh. Then remove the column from the SQL view.
