The ability to activate a tenant wide banner which users will see when opening the Power BI service. Perhaps on the top of the screen in a blinking color to attract attention.
The banner can be used to announce:
- Data source outage (maintenance or issue)
- Gateway maintenance (patching)
- Company provided training
- Data delays
- Etc.
This avoids having to send emails which are not always read. If users will see a banner (that they can choose to close), then you know they have read it and are aware of the information shared.
