Currently there is no way to supply documentation to go with projects and resources in the workspace. It would be great if workspaces can support the ability to host markdown files (i.e. readme.md)...
Yes this would really be useful. After a while workspaces accumulate, and within every workspace many files. Opening an old workspace you have no clue what everything is meant to do.
A quick workaround is creating a notebook called 'readme' but support for proper markdown would be ideal.
