Expose workspace creation date (and creator) in the Admin REST API, Scanner API, and Admin portal

Problem

There is currently no supported way to retrieve the actual creation date of a Power BI / Fabric workspace. Administrators must rely on audit events (CreateFolder / CreateGroup), which are limited to 30 days via the Activity Events API and to the Purview retention period of the tenant’s licence. For any workspace created before that window, the creation date is permanently unrecoverable.

Requested feature

• Add createdDateTime (the true workspace creation timestamp, in UTC) to:

            Power BI Admin REST API (admin/groups)

            Scanner API (admin/workspaces/scanResult)

            Fabric Admin REST API (Workspaces - List Workspaces)

• Add a Created date (and ideally Created by) column to the Workspaces page in the Fabric Admin portal, with sorting and filtering.
• Backfill the value for existing workspaces from internal metadata, so it is available for older workspaces too.

Business value

• Governance and lifecycle management: identify stale, abandoned, or orphaned workspaces and apply retention and cleanup policies.
• Compliance and audit: prove when a workspace was provisioned, independent of audit log retention.
• Capacity and cost management: correlate workspace age with capacity usage and ownership.
• Tenant migrations and inventories: produce a complete, accurate workspace inventory without depending on short-lived logs.
