PBIRS build 15.0.1122.101
The changelog says there are various bug fixes in the last build, what are these changes?
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/changelog
- Version: 1.27.9794.1532 (build 15.0.1122.101), Released: October 26, 2026
- Various bug fixes.
Since upgrading to PBIRS September 2026, ReportingServices no longer opens images through API using its execution account and I was hoping that updating to the newest build may correct the issues I'm facing. There must be a proper change log somewhere, various bug fixes is not really saying a lot.

Hello MikBrePer,
I had a look at the official PBIRS changelog, and unfortunately, Microsoft hasn't published an itemized breakdown of the fixes. So there's currently no documented confirmation that the execution account or external image retrieval issue has been addressed.
I'd recommend checking the RSPowerBI and ReportingServicesService logs for authentication or HTTP errors when retrieving images. Also, I suggest to verify that the execution account can still access the image URLs, particularly if they require Windows authentication.
I'd suggest raising a Microsoft support case referencing both builds and requesting confirmation of whether this regression is included in the latest fixes, rather than upgrading Production without verification.

Hi MikBrePer,
Build 15.0.1122.101 is an official Microsoft Power BI Report Server September 2026 update, released on 26 October 2026. Microsoft lists it as containing various bug fixes.
So if you are currently on 15.0.1122.95 and facing issues, I would recommend upgrading to 15.0.1122.101 after taking the normal Report Server backups.
Before upgrading, back up:
- ReportServer and ReportServerTempDB
- Report Server encryption key
- Configuration files
Then install the newer PBIRS build and validate a few important reports, refreshes and subscriptions.
Since Microsoft has published 15.0.1122.101 as the newer supported September 2026 build, I would use this build rather than staying on .95.
