Utterly foxed by same model having had cloud sources deleted???
I have model that is working fine. It sources are microsoft dynamics, share point files and a table from another semantic model. Asit says dont need a gateway as all cloud sources.
I added a few visuals etc and republshed it and was shcked/suprised to see this? Al lthe cloud connections are the same, but it thinks I need a gateway. i have both versions published now under different names and one works and the newer on doesnt. Clciking on "Recreate cloud date sources" doesnt do anything in that if i reselect the maps to the apply button doesnt light up
I havent changed anything with data sources and been working on this for 3 days so really dont want to have to try adding the functionality back into the working model.
Solved it myself but what a stupidly unhelpful error message that is. I added a query pointing at a local copy of the sharepoint file instead of the cloud copy. Leaving this here in case it helps someone lese.

When you look under the data source credentials section in settings, does it allow you to input credentials for those cloud connections? In my experience there is just authentication that needs to happen for that to work. This can happen two ways:
1. Authenticate throught the "data source credential" section
2. Create a credential set for that connection for the semantec model to use:
Once that credential set is made it should continue to work until those credentials change. Have you tried either of those things to get things going again?

Thats it was more stupid than that. Message was compeltely misleading. I should have twigged that it wanted a gateway because one of the sources wasnt a cloud source. Saying it was delted wasnt helpful. Thanks anyway
