Using a semantic model
I am creating my own dashboard where i reference not only my data, but data i am getting from a different semantic model. When I go to publish my dashboard, i am getting an error message on the charts/graphics that reference the other model's semantic model. any ideas on how to fix this?
I have all of the necessary build permissions on the other semantic model, and both dashboards are in the same workspace

Check these below settings : reference : Power bi Semantic model issue | Microsoft Fabric Community
- Confirm the tenant setting allows DirectQuery to Power BI semantic models. In the Admin portal, turn on Allow DirectQuery connections to Power BI semantic models. If disabled, connections to a published semantic model as a source will fail. Doc: Admin setting.
- Make sure the source semantic model does not discourage chaining. If the source model was published with the option to discourage DirectQuery connections, new composite connections are blocked. Clear that option and republish the source if needed. Doc: Discourage DirectQuery connections setting.
