    Hi AmandaMW ,

Thank you for reaching out to fabric community.

This is expected behavior with Power BI / Fabric Scorecards. When you link goals between scorecards, users need permission to the source scorecards that contain the linked goals. As a result:

    • Granting access only to the WD scorecard is not enough if it contains linked goals from the prototype or second scorecard.
    • To resolve permission errors, you had to give them access to the parent scorecards, but that also makes those scorecards visible in their Scorecards list.

Unfortunately, there isn't currently a way to hide parent scorecards while still allowing users to access linked goals from them. Permissions are applied at the scorecard level, not the individual linked goal level.

    Below are the Possible workarounds:

    1. Create a standalone WD scorecard instead of linking goals from parent scorecards (duplicate the required goals if necessary).
    2. If maintaining linked goals is essential, users will need access to the parent scorecards, and they will remain visible.
    3. If this limitation affects your implementation, consider submitting feedback through the Microsoft Fabric Ideas portal for more granular scorecard permissions.

At present, there is no built-in feature that allows users to view only a child scorecard while hiding the linked parent scorecards.

    Thanks!!
