Relocating Datasets/Reports/Dashboards
Morning
I am the sole contributor of Power BI reports in my company. When I started making reports I just created and saved everything under 'My Workspace' without much thought.
Now I have over 100 reports and the request has come to move these reports to a 'shared' workspace.
Has any improvements been made to make this a easier task?
As of now, I can only think to download each individual report. Reupload to a new workspace. The pain comes in downloading and re-uploading so many reports. Re-creating dashboards, and re-creating refresh times. Also then re-sharing all these reports with end users and end users updating favorites and such.
Thoughts?

Maybe look into the REST API and Powershell?

Hi IamTDR ,
Currently, it is not supported to copy the content of a workspace to one or more workspaces in Power BI. Your demand is a good idea, and you can post your new idea in Idea Forum , add your comments there to improve Power BI and make this feature coming sooner.
You may follow below articles to learn how to use PowerShell script achieve your requirement.

I've taken the route of redownloading all 130 reports from 'My Workspace'.
I then spent the time to re-upload these same reports into newly created workspace named 'Power BI Finance.'
Now I am experiencing strange issues.- When I am in 'My Workspace' I am randomly being kicked out of 'My Workspace' and put into 'Power BI Finance' workspace
- I use in excel, 'Connect to Power BI' feature. I do not see the new workspace 'Power BI Finance' but all my datasets have merged here into one workspace, 'My Workspace'.
I'm currently thinking the issue is that the reports all have the same naming convention. Do I have to give the reports I just uploaded into 'Power BI Finance' a different name?
