Paginated Report gets stuck on "Loading report..." when parameter value is confirmed with Enter

Hi everyone,

We have recently noticed a strange behavior with Paginated Reports and report parameters.

When a user enters a parameter value and confirms it by pressing Enter, the report starts loading but gets stuck on the "Loading report..." screen indefinitely. However, if the user enters exactly the same parameter value and instead clicks "View Report", the report loads successfully and everything works as expected.

This issue seems to have appeared only within the last few days. Previously, both methods (pressing Enter and clicking View Report) worked without any problems.

We would like to understand:

  • Has anyone else experienced the same issue recently?
  • Is this a known regression or service-related change?
  • Are there any official recommendations or fixes available?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Hi MorelG​,

    Thanks for confirming. This is a known issue affecting paginated reports with text parameters.

    As a workaround, after entering the parameter value, press Tab until View Report is selected, and then press Enter or Space. You can also click View Report directly. A support ticket is only needed if this workaround doesn’t work or the issue is significantly affecting your users.

    Microsoft is aware of the issue, and you can track its status on the Microsoft Fabric Known Issues page

    Hi MorelG​,

    Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

    This looks like an issue with the parameter submission when using the Enter key in power bi service.

    As a workaround, after entering the parameter value, please click View Report instead of pressing Enter. This should allow the paginated report to load successfully.
