Export to PDF with current values doesn't work
Hello,
I have issues exporting current view to PDF, especially the matrix visual with some selected view of the hierarchy.
For example: if I choose some particular drilldown view like the one below,
And export to PDF with Current Values,
This is the result i get:
The entire hierarchy is expanded down to the same level as the single row i expanded initially (in this case 2013,Qtr 3, September), although i only want to export the exact view i had initially. Is this a bug with the export to PDF function, or is it as intended?
If someone could look into this issue it would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi Hansi ,
Seems to be a bug to me since "Default Values" will provide the exact snapshot in the PDF exports like v-zhangti mentioned in one of the replies. I'm actually getting the exact snapshot even with "Current Values" and "Only export current page".
There are no additional settings that need to be set.
Try the below once just to assure it's a bug:
1. Try exporting from Incognito mode just to make sure no browser cache is affecting the export
2. Try exporting from another system
3. Try exporting after publishing to some other workspace
If none of these are fruitful, I suggest you to raise a support ticket with Microsoft team using this link for dedicated support where they can check logs.

Hi, Hansi
When using the export PDF function, there is one limitation: In the Power BI service, URL filters aren't currently respected when you choose Current Values for your export.
So you can select "Default Values" and check the box "Only export current page".
This is the result of exporting PDF.
You can refer to the following to learn more about the limitations of exporting PDF.

Hello v-zhangti, and thank you for your response,
does this mean that per now its impossible to export with the current view from powerbi-service?
When i export with default values (and current page):
I just get the default view that was active when the report was published:
Is there some setting that must be enabled etc. when the report is published?
Thank you once again!

Hi, Hansi
I'm sorry, but the mock test was successful on my end.
If it's convenient for you, I hope you can provide your PBIX file for testing, and please remove any sensitive information, thanks.

Hi Hansi,
BI Helper https://bihelper.tech has a report bursting solution with filtered / sliced views of visuals for Power BI Pro, PPU and Premium users. You can automate the selection of filter / slicer values and email recipients by using the API based solution documented at https://docs.bihelper.tech/api/intro.
Or you can use Power Automate together with BI Helper and Power BI Pro. Detailed documentation is at https://medium.com/bi-helper/burst-your-power-bi-reports-838ab593f7bc.
Will be great to hear how they work for you!
Cheers,
Kiran, BI Helper
