change account in settings > Data Source Credentials

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.Thank you Deku, for your insights.
The issue you're encountering is likely due to hosting semantic models in My Workspace, which is a personal workspace tied to your individual account. This setup is not suitable for service accounts, as they cannot reliably access or manage resources within another user's personal workspace—hence the "workspace not found" error when attempting to update credentials.
Additionally, the error referencing OAuth 2.0 and SSL indicates that the Analysis Services connection is using an insecure (HTTP) endpoint, which is not supported with OAuth authentication. I recommend moving the semantic models to a shared Power BI workspace where you can assign the service account a Contributor or Admin role.
Also, ensure that the Analysis Services connection string uses HTTPS, and verify that the data gateway is properly configured if you're connecting to on-premises sources. This approach will allow the service account to manage credentials as expected and aligns with Power BI best practices for enterprise deployments.
