Can't add workspace user

Hi Anonymous,
Try below fixes:-
Check if User Already Exists (Hidden) - Workspace → Access → Search user
Also check in AD group memberships (If found → remove → wait 2–5 min → re-add)
Add via Security Group
- Create Security Group in Azure AD
- Add user to group
- Add group to workspace
Try Different Role First
Try adding as Member or Contributor and then downgrade the role to viewer
Try adding from Power BI browser instead of teams/fabric or Use Manage Access panel vs Share button
Remove a few users from group, wait for few minutes and try re-adding them
Try creating a new workspace (replicate Old one) and adding the user to that group
If you can't create a new workspace as it is a critical production workspace then raise a ticket with Microsoft with
- Workspace ID
- Timestamp
- User UPN

Anonymous If you are facing error in the UI, try onboarding the user through Power BI Rest API. Try the below API
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/groups/add-group-user
1. Click on Try it -> Login using your microsoft learn account
2. Enter your workspace ID and the user details in the JSON
3. Click Run below
