Cannot add new data source to gateway

The client has added a new SQL server and also installed new Gateway.I can see it on the powerbi service page by going to manage Gateways. Adding new data source is not working. I keep getting the fo...

    As far as I know you first need to be able to connect to the SQL Server database before it can authenticate?

Ok, what then did you mean that Gateway cannot connect to SQL Server? They are installed on the same box.

    Hi Markzolotoy 

     

    According to the error it does not look like it can connect. How are you connecting to the SQL Server, put those some details in the Gateway source in the Power BI service?
