Auto refresh timeout
Some of the auto-refresh queries are freaking our redshift out. It pops to 100% cpu and the query times out after 2 hours. I want to set that timeout down to 10 minutes, for auto-refresh queries, or just all queries from app.powerbi.com through our on-premise gateway. Where do I set this timeout property in powerbi?
Hi, meyerovb
According to your description, you want to set the timeout property in power bi. I think there are two ways to achieve this:
First is to open the advanced options when connecting to the data source and enter the time out minutes, like this:
Second is to open the advanced editor in Power query editor and change the M query to set the time out manually, like this:
Here’s a solution that explains how to set a max run time / timeout for Power Query in detail, you can take a look and find if it’s useful:

Hi there
You should be able to do this in the advanced editor in Power Query, and update the options for the timeout
