Slicer Functionality

I have a slicer that I use to select start and end dates. For example, I start with

  1. September 1 and September 30
  2. I look at my date and everything looks good
  3. Now I want to change (Oct 1 -  Oct 31) so when I go to select a start date and select Oct 1 and by the time I go to select an end date my start date already went back to Sept 1 since the end date is still Sept 30

Only way I can change is if after September I go and select Oct 31 and then go back to start and select Oct 1

Is this intended functionlaity or there are settings I am missing somewhere?

Thanks

  • Greg_Deckler that's how it works from day one. your end date has to be greater than the start date otherwise it will go back. Always change the end date first and then go to the start date.

stribor45 this is the default behavior and nothing you can do except adding this as an idea on the ideas forum

stribor45 No, that's not how it is supposed to work. I'll have to test and see if maybe a bug was introduced or something.

jparr maybe it is how it is supposed to work but the date pickers don't usually work this way. I just wanted to check with the community to make sure i am not missing something

  • stribor45 strange things happen here, hope it will improve, the best way is to put it on the ideas forum (if already doesn't exist) and share it will your network to upvote it. Hopefully one day it will be improved/fixed. Good luck!
