Reverse engineer best practice
Anonymous you can go many ways and I been into this situation many times:
- usually, I start with data model to understand how good/bad that is
= what are data sources?
- how the model is used import/DQ and what?
- how often data get refreshed?
= internal/external users?
= how artifacts are distributed?
= visualization and measures and all that stuff comes very late for me. I like to understand all the internals before getting into this visualization and DAX, if these are the problem area, I still need to understand the model and data source and data refresh policy.
I would ❤ Kudos if my solution helped. 👉 If you can spend time posting the question, you can also make efforts to give Kudos whoever helped to solve your problem. It is a token of appreciation!
