Reports based on Dynamics
When using PowerBi to create a report based on its link to Dynamics, the report is missing large amount of entries. For example, 15 on PowrBi, versus the same inquiry on Dynamics gets 81 entries.
Hello JWharton
You may need to create a Power BI report using OData feed connection. OData connection will take the Data entities of Dynamics 365 as data source to create reports.
Please refer to these related threads for more details.

If the above does not solve your problem, then we need to look at the Power Query Level to check if no filters have been applied on any of the tables, as if some data is getting loaded in the PBI, which means you might be connecting correctly.

Your Power BI report linked to Dynamics is showing fewer entries because of one or more of these reasons:
- Hidden filters in visuals or queries
- Import mode pulling outdated data
- User permissions limiting record visibility
- OData row limits (e.g., 5000 max)
- Missing joins or relationships between tables
- Data type mismatches causing silent drops
✅ Check filters, refresh the dataset, and consider using the Dataverse TDS endpoint for full access. - AnonymousNot applicable
Hi JWharton,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum. The difference you’re seeing between Dynamics (81 records) and Power BI (15 records) usually happens due to how the data is being brought into Power BI. As
