 My question is If I do that do I have to re-share with everyone or would it get updated without end users knowing that It was overwritten by a latest version.

 

No. You don't have to re-share dashboard. Based on my test, if we modify the measures in desktop and re-publish report file to service to overwrite the original one, the dashboard will update automatically on both your side and end users side.
