Matrix Visual - Formatting and Inter-Visual Value referencing

Allow me to give more context:
In that visual, Im basically grouping my sales volume info by years (top level columns) and, using measures, im doing my calculations on these (bottom level columns). Specifically, I need a way to manipulate the filter context of the year in which im grouped, subtract that value by one to get the value from the last year, then calculate further with it.
The question is: can I manipulate the filter in that way? If so, how?
