Matrix Table export data- Total Naming is different

This is power bi UI table - the total is "Total by Company" However, when the user export the data into CSV, it will reverted back to "Total" Is there anyone facing this issue befor...

    Hi TanHY ,

    Yes, this is something a number of users have come across. Power BI allows us to rename subtotal rows in the matrix visual (e.g., "Total by Company"), but when exporting to CSV, it defaults back to just "Total". This is a known behavior and currently by design.

    A possible workaround is using Excel export instead of CSV which retains more formatting, or applying a custom DAX label in the matrix to mimic the behavior.

Hi TanHY ,

Just circling back to see if the workaround helped with your matrix subtotal label issue did switching to Excel export work better for your case? Or did you happen to try the custom DAX label approach to mimic the subtotal naming?

Totally understand how unexpected it is when things look perfect in Power BI but don't carry over the same way in CSV exports. If you found another correct workaround or still need help exploring options, feel free to share happy to help with you. Looking forward to hearing how it’s going.
