Fetch metadata from SharePoint Online document libraries
Hi Anonymous
I found a post shows an article about getting the data from SharePoint in Power BI.
I hope it could help you: Power BI - Get Data From SharePoint List / Library
And you may refer to this blog: Create a report on a SharePoint List

Thanks for the response, but I already know how to get data from a SharePoint list the conventional ways. I'm asking if there's a method that doesn't take HOURS to refresh. And as I mentioned, the OData connector always tells me I'm not authorized, even though I clearly am.

For the slow refresh issue - My PBIX had absolutely nothing in it (no DAX yet) and the query was only about 5 steps, which included extracting the data and expanding about 3 or 4 columns from the "ValueAsText" field. That's it. So it's not a performance thing. It was literally at 800MB+ and had taken 3 hours when I hit "cancel".
Also, the OData link you pointed to takes me to something about MS Project Online sites and doesn't explain how to get SharePoint site list info. I know that it's similar, but the URLs totally do not match.
