Microsoft EmployeeExternal Tools Ribbon Missing
Why don't I have the "external tools" ribbon in my powerbi desktop app? I have the latest version, have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, and the powerbi help pages only direct me to installing the JS...
I ended up getting the connection by going to powerbi.tips and downloading business opps and adding Dax Studio that way!

Microsoft EmployeeI had downloaded the full version, not the portable version. I don't know if it makes a difference but I am on a Surface Pro 7 and I downloaded Power BI Desktop from the Microsoft app store.
