Something like this :This is based on your requirement that content should appear only when the relevant category is selected.
My UX-informed recommendation is to always display guiding content, and in empty states, show a message like:
'No additional information available for category X.'
This provides the user with a clear sense of where they are and avoids confusion like
'Maybe I didn’t click correctly"
