Dynamic Drill Through?
We have a report with a dozen pages. Each page has a grid with a differently summarized view of the same data. Would it be possible to provide a dropdown on each of the pages that provides the end user with a list of fields and let them select what to drill by?
Example use case:
1) User views data by county
2) User selects "View Next By: " of "Age Group" and clicks one of the county rows
3) User is taken to the "By Age Group" page filtered for that selected county.
4) User selects "View Next By: " of "Gender" and clicks one of the age group rows
5) User is taken to the "By Gender" page filtered for the county and age group they have chosen

You may have a look at below articles about drill through. It seems impossible to do that but maybe i misunderstand it. So it's better you could share some data which could reproduce your scenario and your desired output.

Yes, I've read all this and it revolves around a pre-defined drill-through. What we need is to permit the end user to choose from a list which type of drill through they want.
Our report is published to web and hosted in an iframe so we're not talking about a user with a Power BI license.
I'm wondering if it's possible to create a custom PBI control that would present a dropdown list and modify the appropriate drill fields on the associated table so that when the user clicks a row it drills through the way they requested.
