Displaying Values vs. Counting Data

Hello there,

I am fairly new to Power BI but was wondering if someone would be able to help me with a situation I have run into and can't seem to fix. I have a data table in excel that I am trying to place onto a visual in Power BI, however, every time I go to place the raw data as the values that would be displayed, it can only count the data, and refuses to simply display the values. It is able to display the dates for the data, as written in the table below, but doesn't give me any other option beside counting my actual time values. I'm trying to display the data in a line graph visual. This could be a simple button I need to press and I just might be missing it.

I have tried running the data in Power Quarry to see if I can change the data to different type to transform it into a data value that Power BI would like to display, but it hasn't helped. Here's a picture of the simple table I am using. The data, that is in the table, are averages of daily values for the month that is listed, otherwise there is no other formula or caluation being done using these cells.

Any help with this would be amazing. Thanks so much.

Did you ever figure this out?  I am running into a similar problem. My data is months and insteady of displaying the actual month in the graph, it counts the months.
