I keep getting this error message, even when I add the file from my own sharepoint site... any clues?

Hey b-kopik ,

 

The possible causes I suspect: Incorrect Credentials, Expired Session or Token, Wrong Account, Permissions Issue, Authentication Method

 

The error message indicates an authentication issue. Please try the following steps:

1) Make sure you’re signed in with the correct organizational account that has access to the SharePoint file.

2) If you recently changed your password, sign out and sign back in.

3) Confirm that your account has the necessary permissions for the file.

4) When connecting in Power BI (or your tool), choose Organizational Account and complete any MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) steps if required.
