Combining email data with attachment data

I have linked Power BI to a folder in Outlook where I receive emails with attachments. The attachements have the same format. for example Email1 (Sender [email protected], time received 15 Nov 2019 11:02am...

Hi Anonymous ,

You could connect Microsoft Exchange Online into Power BI to get the name and email address. And then append them to your existing table.

  • Get data > Choose Microsoft Exchange Online
  • Sign in Microsoft account
  • Choose Mail table > Transform data
  • Expend Sender column to show address

  • Just retain the columns of address and received datetime

Then you could add columns or append the queries based on your actual data model to implement.

hi Xue Ding, thank you for your reply. Unfortunately this doesnt solve my issue. Once I choose Combine - Attachment content, a new table is created with the attachment information and the original email information dissapears. So I cant refer to the sender email column etc. Is there a way to do this.
