This chart visualizes how actual sales performance compares with assigned monthly targets over a three-year period (2023–2025).
The main goal is to identify patterns of achievement and shortfall, highlight performance trends, and evaluate consistency in meeting targets.
A Bar Chart was designed as a Dumbbell Chart to clearly show the gap between Sales (Actual) and Targets (Goal) for each month. The visual emphasizes both magnitude and direction — where Sales exceeded or fell below expectations.
Three key measures summarize insights directly:
💙Sales Exceeded Target: Displays months with higher sales than targets, including the highest gain.
💗Sales Below Target: Highlights under-performing months and the largest shortfall.
🟡 Target Overview: Shows the average and total targets for the selected year.
Dynamic slicers allow the viewer to switch between 2023, 2024, and 2025, updating both the chart and insight boxes automatically.
