It is indeed based on up time, but the consumption is CU. You already buy a set of CU's with your Microsoft Capacity. So if the CU consumption falls within the capacity limit, you won't be charged extra.

With the auto-pause feature I wasn't sure if it would pick up the schedule if the pool was paused. However, if it does automatically resume the pool for a scheduled DAG run then that solves my problem.

Has there been any traction on this new feature request. I also think it would be very helpful bregenold
