Pause Capacity and Deallocate spark pool
In this article: Billing and utilization reporting in Fabric Spark - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
It says spark pool is only billed when running a session or job.
But the pool is running against Fabric Capacity, it's activated unless manually paused.
So when the capacity is idle, meaning no access, no running job of any kind, just report and data stored in onelake, does user still get charged every hour for the capacity(only pay for the storage used)?
So when you say capacity is idle, it means unpaused state right? In that case, you would still incur charges of the capacity.
The capacity is not serverless, so whether you use it or not does not matter. Its charged per hour for usage.

thanks, Yes;
So whether the spark pool in running or not, it's still incurring charges, in another word, when your capacity is fixed and activated, it is meaningless to save cost by shutting down spark pool?
