Column picker
I have a data table in the following format and I need to create a visual in the exact same format too, but have a way to select the desired/required Subjects/departments (Math,Science etc.) for the user. As in have a slicer/dropdown to allow the user to select only their subject/department as the number of subjects/departments is about 20 and tends create a hortizontal scroll and not making it a good experience.
I tried the field parameters, but couldnt get it to work.

Are these subjects in different columns in your data? That would best be corrected by unpivoting. Then you can use regular value filters.
If you need to keep separate columns then use Field Parameters to allow users to choose the columns.
thank you lbendlin ! I need to keep them as separate columns, I tried the Field Parameters options, but it isnt doing anything. As in the table gets created and I added the value to a slicer, but then it doesnt filter the columns upon selection. I havent used field parameters before, so I could be doing it wrong
