Date picker doesn't respect locale settings

In the Date picker a relative calendar week is always from Sunday to Saturday.
In European cultures (e.g. French) it should be Monday to Sunday.

Seems that the product team has recognized this issue. Hopefully it comes out in early 2027.

Looks like it was added into Power BI Roadmap 👍

  • Hi katsarr

Have you had a look at your calendar date table to make sure that it also recognizes the first day of the week as a Monday?

When I open the date picker, the first day of week is Monday (e.g. 10-August). But when I set a filter for relative calendar weeks it filters a week that starts with Sunday (9-15 August). I reported a bug.

  • Hikatsarr,

I faced the similar issue. Date filler on the visual always check for UTC timezone.
To avoid, there are couple of ways as below:

    1. Create a DATE dimension with French time zone based columns like Calendar Week Start Day and Calendar Week End Day, any language translations, Time Zone offsets, Day Light Savings etc.,
    2.  Create a flag as column that can True or False that can use as filter on the visual.

    Best Regards,

We have it this way. It means that the user can't select custom dates before the last week. So to do that there is a button with a bookmark to remove that flag filter from the slicer... I wanted to replace all of that with the new date picker
