Co-Pilot sidecar chat fails when private links are enabled and public access is disabled. The error `"I'm sorry, but I encountered an error..."` occurs, though inline code completion and quick actions still work
No workaround exists for this limitation as of February 2025
If Co-Pilot’s chat feature is critical, consider maintaining limited public access (`Block Public Internet Access = Disabled`) while using private endpoints for internal traffic. This allows Co-Pilot functionality but reduces isolation.
