Capacity Metrics schema validation failed for all supported versions in FUAM

Hello,

I am facing an issue while collecting data from the Microsoft Fabric Capacity Metrics App using the FUAM notebook code.

The schema compatibility validation fails for every version checked by the notebook:

INFO: Test for v53 failed

INFO: Test for v47 failed

INFO: Test for v40 failed

INFO: Test for v37 failed

The notebook then returns the following exception:

ERROR: Capacity Metrics data structure is not compatible or connection to capacity metrics is not possible.

Could someone please help clarify:

  1. Whether the Capacity Metrics App schema has recently changed.
  2. Whether the current FUAM release supports the latest Capacity Metrics App.
  3. Whether a newer validation query or updated FUAM notebook is available.

Thank you.

    Hi Shreya_Barhate,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

Here the 2.1 shown under Help --> Release notes is not the Capacity Metrics schema version that FUAM is checking.

Since you are using FUAM 2026.6.1, please create a new Capacity Metrics App instance dedicated to FUAM, attach its workspace to an F or P capacity and configure that workspace and semantic model in the FUAM pipeline.

Then rerun the FUAM notebook. FUAM 2026.6.1 supports Capacity Metrics versions such as v65, v53, v47 and v44.

    Thanks and regards,

    Hi Shreya_ ,

One thing stands out in your log. The notebook is testing v53, v47, v40 and v37, but 2026.6.1 should also be checking newer versions like v65. That makes me think the notebook in your workspace might still be from an older FUAM release, even if the rest of the deployment was updated.

I'd try redeploying or re-importing the latest FUAM notebooks, then rerun. If it still fails, it's worth checking that the workspace and semantic model names in the FUAM config match your Capacity Metrics app exactly, and that the account running the notebook has Build permission on that semantic model. A wrong name or missing permission can make every version test fail the same way.

    Hope that helps!

  • Hi Shreya_Barhate,

What version of the capacity metrics app do you have and what version of FUAM do you have?

I have version 65 of capacity metrics, which passes the V53 test in FUAM, and I have version 2026.6.1 of FUAM. Everything is working as expected.

      hi tayloramy,

My FUAM version is 2026.6.1. However, when I run the FUAM notebook, all the Capacity Metrics compatibility tests fail.

The Capacity Metrics App displays Current Version: 2.1 under Help → Release notes. Could you please confirm whether this is the version you are asking for? If not, where can I find the Capacity Metrics version number that shows values such as version 65?
