I am trying to add a logo to a Power BI App. The image is a 2kb jpg file, which is definitely suitable for use. When I upload it, it displays a message saying "image.jpg was successfully uploaded." I then click "update app".
When I (or anyone else) goes to the app, we immediately see the app logo is an "image won't display" icon.
When I go back to to the update app section, the image has been deleted, and there is an error below saying, "The content of the file isn't an image. Please check the file and try again."
This happens every time without fail. It also happens with PNGs. Does anyone know if I can fix it?
Hi,@Singularity9.Thank you for your reply.
Have you tried using a screenshot to take a screenshot of the logo as another local image and subsequently using that image?
The fact that you are currently experiencing the problem is rather strange, I have tested it again and unfortunately the logo is displaying fine, could you please check if your current problem is limited to the Workspace app that is currently experiencing the problem or if the problem occurs with all apps, and could you please tell me if you are experiencing the same problem on other computers as well as with other power BI Service accounts? Do you have the same problem on other computers and in other power BI Service accounts?
I hope my suggestions give you good ideas, if you have any more questions, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
Best Regards,
Carson Jian,

Hello, zenisekd. Thanks for your concern about this issue.
Your answer is excellent!
And I would like to share some additional solutions below.
Hi,@Singularity9 ,I am glad to help you.
Please try to download the app logo image locally and subsequently use the local copy as the app logo.
Try clearing your browser cache to avoid interfering items.
After my test, when I select the local image, it shows up fine even though the app has gone through a version update.
I hope the test below with the related links will help you.

I've cleared my cache and used an image stored on my PC (previously it was stored on a shared drive). Unfortunately no luck. I get the exact same result. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi, have you tried to upload any other image? if it is the same, I suggest you create a ticket...
Yep, I've tried multiple different images, all below 5kb. Cheers.
And same result? Perhaps try in a different web browser. Just to be sure...
Same result sadly. It's on Edge currently. I don't have another browser installed and would have to do that through the ICT department. All users will also be using Edge, so there's not much point in trying a different browser if it doesn't work on this one.
